Welsh Penrhyn Roofing Slate
Welsh Penrhyn slate is recognized internationally as the gold standard by which all other natural slates are judged by. This particular variety of slate was extracted from one of the world’s finest deposits, which scientists say is 590 million years old. Laser-assisted saws cut out pieces of this beautiful natural slate from the quarry where they are eventually shaved down to their final thickness using classical methods before being cut with chamfered edges.
